Vajon mi lenne a módja a körülöttünk, sok esetben közvetlen szomszédságunkban stb. élő emberek gondolkodásmódjának megváltoztatására? Hogyan lehetne embereket ráébreszteni arra, hogy attól, hogy századokon át láncon tartották a kutyát, még nem biztos, hogy ez a helyes megoldás. Mert nekünk és szerintünk minden jóérzésű embernek is, fáj, hogy csak telnek és múlnak az évek és konkrétan semmi sem változik. A Viharsarki Állatőrség Alapítványhoz érkezett a bejelentés egy láncon tartott kutyáról Békéscsabán, ők szóltak nekünk. De az, hogy „láncon volt”, nem fejezi ki azt a borzalmat, amit kollégánk ott látott! 50 cm-es láncon tartották a szerencsétlen állatot és igen, abban a betonbunkinak is csak igen nagy jóindulattal nevezhető valamiben, amit a (sajnos homályos) képen lehet látni, volt hivatott álomra hajtani a fejét. Illetve lett volna hivatott, ha elért volna odáig a lánc!!!! Víz nem volt. Nem is tudjuk, hogy volt-e valaha az oldalára fordított edényben. Az ételt nem is firtattuk.  Pedig minden kutyának lételeme a mozgás! Ismét azt kell mondjuk, hogy szeretet, együttérzés a körülöttünk élő élőlények iránt nulla!

Pedig YAMAMOTO egy imádnivalóan cuki kutyus! Nyugodt, békés természetű és imád a figyelem középpontjában lenni. Mindenkit imád és még idegenekkel is egy szempillantás alatt barátságot köt. Bújós, figyelmes, okos kutyus, aki le sem veszi a szemét az emberről. Szerintünk nagyon gyorsan tanulna, ha lenne kitől.

Szuka kutyákkal tökéletes a kapcsolata, többükkel élt már együtt közös kennelben is. Kan fajtársaival is barátságos. A macskateszt során ( ami egy cicákkal teli, apró szobában zajlik), azt tapasztaltuk, hogy nem volt érdeklődő a macskák iránt. Mivel mindkét fél megilletődött állapotban volt, így nem feltétlen garantált, hogy máskor, más környezetben teljesen cicabarát lesz.

We wonder what the right way could be to change the way of thinking of people living around us, often as our next door neighbour? How could we wake them up and make them realise the fact that just because dogs were tethered for centuries it is not a given that this is the right way? Because it is painful for us, and we think for any decent person, to see how the years go by and nothing changes. The call came in to another animal charity and it was about a dog at the end of a chain in Békéscsaba. Thy reported it to us. The fact that he was at the end of a chain does not reveal the heartwrenching reality that our colleague had to witness on site. YAMAMOTO was at the end of a 50-cm-long chain and yes, he was sleeping in the concrete „bunker” that you can see in the sadly blurred picture. Or well, he could have slept in there if his chain had reached in there. He had no water and we do not know if he had had before inside the bowl that we saw turned over. We didn’t ask questions about food.

Yet exercise is one of the basic needs of dogs. It’s painful to realise how caring and empathy concerning the living beings around us is virtually zero.

YAMAMOTO is an incredibly loving and cute little guy. He adores being the centre of attention. He’s calm and peaceful and simply adores everyone. He makes friends even with strangers in a split second. He’s a cuddly, attentive and really smart dog who doesn’t take his eyes off his walker. We believe he would be a very fast learner if someone was willing to train him.

He enjoys a great relationship with female dogs – he has shared his kennel with quite a few of them. With fellow male dogs he’s friendly. During our impromptu cat test (that is conducted in a small room full of cats) he did not show any interest in the felines. However, because both parties were experiencing a new situation it is not fully guaranteed that he will be completely cat-friendly in other situations as well. 

His heartworm test result on 13th June 2022 came back negative.
