MASCUS first arrived at the shelter as a puppy. He was adopted soon after that, but after 5 years he was brought back. In this case this is no sad scenario as he had been living in dreadful circumstances - at the end of a chain and with a heavy collar made of iron round his neck. He was in a terrible state both physically and mentally. His ears were so inflamed that pus was oozing out of them. He was skin and bone and he could hardly open his eyes because of the rheum dried and gathered in the corners. Not to mention his poorly skin.
Even after so much suffering and pain he bore everything patiently, uncomplainingly and affectionately though, even the most painful treatments were silently born by him. He's grateful for every moment we spend with him. There are no words to describe his great personality. You really have to meet him to see and experience the wonder that he is. He's unbelievably calm, stable and friendly, mixes really well with all other dogs and he's excellent on the lead. He would ask for nothing more than life in a forever home where he would be really loved and cared for.
He's travelling to Germany.
His first arrival at the shelter:
It was a shocking sight to find 5 little Komondor mix puppies (10-12 months old) adjacent to a busy road, quite far from an inhabited area and calmly feeding from a roadkill. Not only the sight was shocking, but the fact that someone could do that - probably having put the puppies onto a trailer and released the innocent creatures well away from the township, then left them to fend for themselves. Fortunately, they kept together and not ran away from each other, so now there is a good chance that following the vaccination schedule and a little grooming they will all (1 girl and 4 boys) find a loving and caring owner. They are going to be large dogs, their height is already 55- 60 cm from top to toe and probably they haven't finished growing. All of them are infinitely kind and friendly dogs. They love cuddling so much they basically keep pushing themselves onto you. They are already getting used to the lead. They are looking for a loving owner with a large area for them to roam.
He was adopted: 26 August 2014
He was brought back to the shelter: 14 August 2018
He's been adopted on 17th July 2019.
