Számunkra szokásos történettel találtuk szembe magunkat. Betévedt egy kertes ház udvarába egy nyakörves (gazdis)  cica, az ott lakók cicájával nem jött ki jól, ezért a vendégnek mennie kell. Mentségükre írható, hogy szóltak a cica orvosi ellátásra szorul, ugyanis bal szeme hiányzik. Menhelyre kerülése után vettük észre, hogy bal hátsó lábán az ujjak hiányoznak , ami régebbi sérülésre utalhatnak. Az orvosi vizsgálat megállapította, hogy valószínűleg baleset következtében veszítette el bal szemét és bal lábujjait, ráadásul bal alsó szemfoga is kitört. Belegondolni sem merünk, hogy milyen fájdalmai lehettek , amíg az „öngyógyítás” folyamatán végigment. Ugyanis orvoshoz a gazdi nem vitte, szegény cica saját erejére támaszkodhatott csak. Szemműtétje a lehető leghamarabb megtörtént. Bal hátsó lábát nem használja, de nem is fájlalja. Az állatorvos megállapította, hogy nincs szükség műtétre.  Szerencsére így már nincs akadálya, hogy valaki örökbe fogadja. Bízunk benne, hogy bicegős járása nem riaszt el senkit. Nyugodt természetű, szobatiszta, kedves cica. Várja az álomgazdi jelentkezését!  FIV/FELV negatív.

We have found ourselves facing a totally commonplace story. A cat with a collar and obviously with an owner as well wandered into someone’s yard, but was not welcome by the cat already living there, so the newcomer was forced to go. In the defence of the inhabitants of the property, they did tell us that the cat needed medical attention as her left eye was missing. Only after her coming into the shelter did we notice that her toes on her left hind leg, probably due to an earlier injury,  were also missing. The veterinary examination establsihed that she must have lost her eye and toes as a result of a road accident. On top of all that her left bottom canine also broke off. We dare not think what level of pain she must have been enduring while she was going through the process of self-healing. Her owner did not take her to the vet, so she had to support herself and use her own strength to heal. Her eye surgery took place as soon as was possible. She does not use her left hind leg, but it causes her no pain and the result of the veterinary examination  is that she needs no operation. Luckily, there is nothing in the way now for her tof ind herself a loving home. We hope that her limping won’t scare you away.

She’s a calm, housebroken, kindly cat who can’t wait for her dream owner.
