Drasztikus megoldásnak tűnhet, de ha tehetnénk, mi betiltanánk Magyarországon a bull típusú keverékek szaporítását és tenyésztését is. A bull típusúaknál hátrányosabb helyzetű, szerencsétlenebb kategória ugyanis Magyarországon nem létezik! Van, aki tudja, van, aki nem, de attól még tény, hogy egyes primitív társadalmi rétegekben ma is mindennapos  ezen kutyák viadaloztatása. Megélhetési forrás. Eszméletlen mennyiségű  bull típusú kutyust harcoltatnak nap mint nap az országban és hiába tudja mindenki, senki nem tesz semmit ellene. Ezeket a kutyusokat a végtelenségig kihasználják. Keverik, szaporítják, hogy minél harciasabb legyen az utód, direkt antiszociálisnak nevelik, hogy mindenben, ami él és mozog, prédát lásson. Rengetegen belehalnak sérüléseikbe , feláldozzák őket az emberi kapzsiság és gátlástalanság oltárán. Ha gyepmesteri telepre kerülnek, kevés szervezet meri átvenni őket hisz nagyon nehezen gazdásíthatók. A menhelyeken  hosszú évekre beragadnak, ergo foglalják a helyet. Az altatásos telepeken pedig őket altatják el legtöbbször. Nincs nálad tragikusabb sorsú kutyus az országban, ha bull típusúnak születtél.

Pedig nekik is ez az egy életük van. Nem tehetnek arról, hogy rossz helyre születtek bull típusúnak. Nem  tehetnek arról, hogy fent említett társadalmi rétegben ők a divatosak és hogy felelőtlen módon szaporítják őket. Nekik is joguk van az élethez, egy gazdihoz, szeretethez. De ők ezt csak nagyon ritkán kaphatják meg. Sokszor az egész életüket menhelyen töltik. Nálunk is van jó néhány….. Köztük olyan, aki már 5 éve várja az álomgazdit… Felelősen örökbe adni őket nem egyszerű, sőt, majdnem lehetetlen.  Mert emberközpontúak, kedvesek, bújnak, de az örökbe fogadni szándékozók legnagyobb része átnéz rajtuk. Mintha ott sem lennének. Talán mert túl sok munka van velük. Túl magas az energiaszintjük, túl sok lemozgatás, kutyaiskola és határozottság, következetesség kell hozzájuk.

 Nos,  megint két bull típusúval gazdagodtunk. Ők Konrád és CLYDE. Talán nem voltak elég prédásak és ezért hozták be hozzánk őket éjjel az „inkubátorba”?  Chip is van, álmunkban. Testük (és lelkük) tele volt gennyes sebekkel. Ezeket természetesen elláttuk. Szörnyű szenvedéseiken változtatatni tudunk csak, de feledtetni velük sajnos nem tudjuk. Vajon lesz valaki, aki szerető otthont ajándékozna nekik?

CLYDE mindenkivel nagyon kedves és bújós, abszolút emberközpontú kutyus. Pórázon is szépen sétál, de azért leginkább a hasvakargatást szereti. 
2023.04.12-én elvégzett szívféregtesztjének eredménye: negatív.

It might seem like a drastic solution, but if we could, we would forbid the backyard breeding as well as the official breeding of bull type dog sin Hungary. There is no other breed in Hungary that would be more underprivileged or more unfortunate than the poor bull types! Some people are aware, some people are not aware, but it is a fact that in certain social classes it is common to use bull type dogs for dog fighting. It is a means to an end, it is a way to make ends meet. In Hungary a huge amount of bull type dogs are made to fight each other on a daily basis and no matter that everyone knows, no one does a damn thing about it. These dogs are exploited to the extreme. They are being illegally bred and „mixed” with each other to get a more bloodthirsty offspring, for them to see everything that moves and is alive as prey. Thousands of these unfortunate dogs die of their injuries being sacrificed on the altar of human greed and recklessness. If they are amditted to a dog warden site, hardly any dog shelter will take them over because they are extremely hard to find a home for. They get stuck in dog shelters for long years, so they take up space from other dogs that are easier to find a home for. At dog warden sites that are killing stations they are the dogs that are being euthanasied most often. There is no dog with a more tragic fate than you if you were unfortunate enough to have been born as a bull type in Hungary!

Yet they have only one life as well! They can’t help that they were born to the worst possible place for bull types. They can’t help that above-mentioned social class they are „in” (fashionable) and that they are being illegally bred left, right and centre by these people. Yet they have the right to life too, the right to a loving owner and caring. Still they seem to be able to get it very rarely in Hungary. Very often they spend their whole life in the shelter. We have quite a lotof them  in our shelter too. … Among them dogs that have been waiting for their dream owner for 5 years… To give a bull type dog  responsibly to someone for adoption is no kid’s stuff. Moreover, it is almost impossible. Because they are extremely people-oriented and cuddly, but the vast majority of adoptants look through them as if they were invisible . Maybe because there is too much work to do with them. Their energy-level is too high, so they need too much exercise, training school and a good dose of determination and consistency!

Well, we have got richer with 2 bull type dogs again. They are KONRÁD and Clyde. Maybe they were not „predatory”/aggressive enough and that is why they landed in the middle of the night in our emergency cages outside the shelter?In our dreams they were also microchipped. Their bodies  (and their souls) were full of wounds that we treated immediately. We can only help physically their terrible suffering, but we can’t make them forget it. Will there be someone who would gift them a loving home?
CLYDE is extremely people-oriented, kindly and cuddly. He walks nicely on the lead too, but what he enjoys the most is rolling on his back and havinh his belly rubbed.
His heartworm test result on 12th April 2023 came back negative.
