A Lipták András utcai katolikus temető ingatlanát felújítási tervek miatt lezárták, az ott láncon tartott szerencsétlen kutyust pedig magára hagyták. Egy szombati napon jutott kollégánk tudomására az eset, de mivel a kapu le volt lakatolva, csak élelmet tudott vinni neki. Vasárnap azonban szerencsére sikerült a plébános úrral egyeztetni, így elhoztuk a kutyust.

BEN nagyon boldog volt, amikor lekerült a láncról. Örömében azt sem tudta, mit csináljon.

Túl sok családi emléke nincs, valószínűleg soha nem élt családban, csak a temetőben a lánc végén. Az embereket mégis imádja, egyenesen rajong értük.  Kedves kutyus, aki imádja, ha simogatják és szeretgetik, azonban domináns és szereti, ha az van, amit ő akar. Egyszer előfordult, hogy ráfogott egyik önkéntesünk kezére. Nem harapta meg, csak jelezte, hogy elég a simogatásból. Ezért mindenképp tapasztalt gazdit keres és kutyaiskolát is javaslunk jövendőbeli gazdijánál. Szívesen sétál pórázon és kirándulni is imádna az új gazdival.

Kutyatársaival barátságos. A macskateszt során ( ami egy cicákkal teli, apró szobában zajlik), azt tapasztaltuk, hogy nem volt érdeklődő a macskák iránt. Mivel mindkét fél megilletődött állapotban volt, így nem feltétlen garantált, hogy máskor, más környezetben teljesen cicabarát lesz. 

BEN sajnos szívférges, az örökbefogadónak ez havonta kb. 4.000 Ft kiadást jelent. Csak olyan jelentkezzen gazdinak, aki ezt az áldozatot meg tudja hozni érte! 2022.09.14.

The Catholic cemetery was closed down for renovations and the chained dog was left on the property to fend for himself. It has come to the knowledge of our colleague on a Saturday and as the gate was locked, he was only able to throw some food over the fence for him. On Sunday, however, we managed to reach the parish priest and we were able to bring the dog to the shelter.

BEN was extremely happy to come off the chain. He could hardly contain his joy.

He doesn’t have many memories of a family life, probably he’d never lived in a family situation, only at the end of a chain in the cemetery. He’s a kindly dog who adores being stroked and loved, but he’s dominant and enjoys being in control. Once he has taken our volunteer’s hand into his mouth. He did not bite her, but he indicated that he’d had enough stroking now. So he definitely needs a more experienced future owner and we recommend him to be taken to training school. He adores walking on the lead and would love to go for longer hikes with his new owner as well.
He’s friendly with other dogs. During our impromptu cat test (that is conducted in a small room full of cats) he did not show any interest in the felines. However, because both parties were experiencing a new situation it is not fully guaranteed that he will be completely cat-friendly in other situations as well.  

Unfortunately, BEN is heartworm positive the treatment of which condition incurs a monthly cost of 4,000 Ft. He's waiting for his loving owner who's willing to provide this for him.14.09.2022
