Ugyan ki tudna ellenállni egy csillogó szemű, selymes bundájú kiskutyának? Nem sokan.  Azonban ennek a 3 babának és mamijának se csillogó szeme, se selymes bundája nincs, inkább fénytelen szőrük, beteg, kivörösödött bőrük és aggódó tekintetük van. Lerí róluk a minőségi táplálék, a szeretet nyomai, a megfelelő szocializációs háttér és persze, a rendszeres állatorvosi ellátás is. Szóval még fillérekért sem tudták volna eladni őket. Valószínűleg ezért lettek szélnek eresztve. Ruby és babája, Jade, az Árpád soron mentek be egy építkezésre, onnan hívtak minket 2022.04.19-én. 2022.04.28-án másik 2 kis bőrbeteg kutyus, Texas és TREVOR bukkant fel a Málnás utcán. Ők egy ház előtt a lábtörlőre feküdtek, a ház tulajdonosai ekkor értesítettek minket.

A 4 kutyus láthatóan egy és ugyanazon kis család tagjai. Vélhetően Ruby a mami, Jade, Texas és TREVOR pedig az ő babái.

Az elsődleges bőrkaparék-vizsgálat Demodex atka és lárva, valamint vegyes kolonizáló flóra jelenlétét mutatta ki. A mikrobiológiai tenyésztés során pedig penészflóra tenyészett ki. Convenia injekció és Peroxyderm samponos fürdetés, majd Chlorexyderm gél következett, de állapotuk rosszabbodott, bőrüket véresre kaparták és apró hólyagocskák jelentek meg rajtuk.

Kétségbeesetten kerestünk bőrspecialistát, végül 2022.05.10-én Törökbálinton kaptunk időpontot a Vahúr Vet Állatorvosi Rendelőben. A doktornő javaslatára Nexgard tablettát kaptak, valamint Peroxyderm samponnal fürdetjük őket kétnaponta, majd száradás után Leniderm habbal kenjük be a bőrüket. Vetri DMG-t is szednek. A kezelés megkezdése óta jelentősen javult az állapotuk, amit az új képeken már lehet látni. A kivörösödött, véresre kapart bőr már a múlté. Bőrük inkább rózsaszín már és a szőrük is elkezdett visszanőni.

Mind a négyen hihetetlenül cukik, szerény és jószándékú kiskutyák lehengerlő jellemmel és mindenkivel rögtön megtalálják a közös hangot. 
Négyük közül TREVOR van a legjobb állapotban. Ő picit domináns a többiekkel, néha fel-felborogatja őket, de nagyon könnyen nevelhető és kezelhető kutyus. Alapvetően embercentrikus, könnyen barátkozós, játékos, de emellett egy igazi kis kópé, aki a szuper kis csivihordozónkat is darabokra szedte.

Who could resist a sparkling-eyed, silky-coated tiny little puppy? Not many. However, these 3 puppies and their mummy have neither sparkling eyes nor a silky coat. What they have is more like a dull coat lacking shine, red skin and worrying looks. They reek of quality food, love and caring, good socialising experiences and of course, adequate and regular veterinary care. Well, not. They couldn’t have been sold for pennies even! Probably this is why they were let go of to fend for themselves in the street. Ruby and her baby girl, Jade, went into a bulding site and we collected them there on 19th April 2022. On 28th April 2022 2 more skin-diseased puppies, Texas and TREVOR, turned up in Málnás street. The owner of the house notified us when the two dogs had lain down on the doormat.

The 4 dogs seemingly  belong to the same family. Supposedly Ruby is the mummy, while Jade, Texas and TREVOR are her pups.

The primary skin sample analysis has thrown up Demodex mites and larvae as well as mixed colonising flora. The microbiological analysis has shown mold. Their treatment started: Convenia injection, Peroxyderm shampoo and Leniderm gel. Unfortunately, their condition worsened as a result of this: their skin was fire red, little blisters appeared on them and they scratched themselves bloody.

We were desperately trying to get an appointment with a skin specialist. In the end we got one in Törökbálint at the Vahúr Vet veterinary surgery on 10th May. Following the vet’s recommendations, we gave them Nexgard tablet and started to bathe them with Peroxyderm shampoo, then after drying treat them with Leniderm gel every other day. They also get immune boosters. Since we started the treatment their condition has improved significantly. As the new pictures show, the redness has gone and so has the bloody scratchmarks. Their skin is more pink now and the hair has started to grow back as well.

All 4 of them are incredibly cute, very well-meaning little dogs. They all have an engaging personality and they easily get along with everyone straightaway. 
Out of the 4 TREVOR is in the best condition. He’s a little dominant with the others and sometimes he can push them around a bit, but he’s easy to manage and control. He’s totally focused on people just like the other 3. He makes friends easily and enjoys playing, but he’s a little rascal as well. Our chihuahua holdall was dismantled by him alone.
He's moved in with his hopefully forever owner for a trial period. 02.07.2022
