The puppy came into our care from the train station of a nearby village. He was in a bad state, had fever and an injured left eye. During the veterinary examination a long piece of awn was removed from his left eye. A long procedure of eye treatmentwith eye drops and ointments followed and by now his eye has healed. However, IZSÓ’s ordeal didn’t end there. Not even 5 days passed and he was running a fever again. This time we measured 40 degrees. The diagnosis: the feared Parvo. He was fighting for life for 2 weeks and we were fighting with him. The first few days were critical. He had to go to the vet every day to be put on the drip (Ringer, Duphalyte), plus he was being pumped with the Amoxysol- Menbutil-Rheumocam-Enroxyl-Lincospectin-Cerenia,-Cerucal combo, everything, while we were watching him like a hawk every day whether he was still alive in his „quarantine”.
„Quarantine” is within quotation marks because unfortunately, we still don’t have enough quarantine facilities in the shelter, so IZSÓ’s placement was a thousand-years-old aviary cage. That served as his quarantine.
Despite everything IZSÓ has survived Parvo.
And our super cool little survivor is now looking forward to his future owner with bright eyes and cute ears that have stood up in the meantime.
With his shiny fur coat and the intelligent look in his eyes he sweeps everyone off their feet int he blink of an eye. He smiles continuously and he happily slides into your hugging arms. He gets on well with everyone like a house on fire , let it be a person or another dog. What’s happened to him has had no influence on his trust in people – he follows everyone and sticks to them like glue. He’s always ready for a cuddle.
He’s been adopted. 26.11.2021 (P)
