A dog family consisting of a mummy and her 2 pups was waiting right next to a dead-end in the back of beyond, in-between two settlements in the southern corner of the country – where even the idea of responsible pet ownership repulses the inhabitants. It is not likely that they were straying. They were most probably left there to fend for themselves. Animal lovers found them and this was their lucky day as the dog warden of the local killing station would have found them next.
Thanks to the cooperation through 2 counties and one of our volunteers they have found shelter at her place until they find their forever home. They are ENCI mummy and her two pups: Gyuri and Béluska.
ENCI is very young. On arrival she looked scruffy and dirty, her fur coat was thinning. This has already changed: her fur coat is thick and shiny bright. She’s of an infinitely good nature, kind and affectionate. She’s not loud and not pushy either. If she were a cat she would definitely purr all day long. It was impossible to take good pictures of her as she just sat down and smiled. Her other favourite position is standing up on her hind legs while clinging to people by her front paws. And of course, the smile that never leaves her little face. Her relationship with the other dogs at her foster lady's place is problemfree.
All three of them are chowhounds. After the dry food+tinned food combo they got to know the inimitable taste and smell of meat and they are a little disappointed when this is left out of their meal. They also enjoy fruit.
So they are one of a kind. They will bring a lot of happiness and joy into the life of their future owner. Enci with her modesty and calmness, Gyuri with his intelligence, Bélus with his adorable helplessness.
Unfortunately, ENCI is heartworm positive the treatment of which condition incurs a monthly cost of 4,000 Ft. She's waiting for her loving owner who's willing to provide this for her. 04.08.2021
