Animal lovers happened upon a young cat who was visibly injured. There was a walnut-size swelling on one side of his face. They had taken him to the vet, but the single veterinary treatment didn’t help much.
As a result of us having continued his treatment at the shelter an unbelievable amount of pus was drained from the swelling. There are photos to show, but we think they are not for the untrained eye, so we’ve decided to keep them to ourselves.
But all’s well that ends well… The swelling went downin a few days’ time and thanks to the course of antibiotics there is no trace of the injury now. It is possible that YODA had been injured and the wound became infected. He must have been in great pain when we were cleaning his wound, but he coped very well with everything, therefore, he recovered very quickly.
After his vaccinations his quarantine was over and he entered our cat room with the enclosed little pen. In t he beginning he didn’t know what was happening and did and what to do with the sudden „freedom” or all the other inquiring eyes that were now following his every movement. It’s taken a bit of time for him to fit in, but all is well now.
He’s extremely playful when he’s with people. He enjoys rolling onto his back for the stroking, but due to his young age he still likes to snatch after your hands which won’t be tolerated by everyone. For this reason he’s not th ebest choice for families with small chidlren and the elderly.
His future owner is advised to get some cat toys that will take his fancy so that he can be kept busy as he has a need for exercise.
