PICURKÁnak a szeretett gazdi mellett töltött békés, boldog  öregkor helyett 3 komoly műtét jutott gyors egymásutánban!

PICURKÁnak volt gazdája, de a néni meghalt és az örökösök elvitték Őt Kondorosra. PICURKA nem volt boldog, állítólag mindig kiszökött. Mi már csak akkor szereztünk tudomást minderről amikor állatbarátok találtak rá az M44-es gyorsforgalmi autóúton  mozdulatlanul fekve. Azt azóta sem tudtuk kideríteni, hogy hogy kerülhetett oda, hisz ez az útszakasz teljesen zárt,  ráadásul vadráccsal is körbe van kerítve…  Megtalálói állatorvoshoz vitték, a kutyus sürgősségi ellátását ki is fizették, majd értesítettek minket. Azonnal gondozásunkba vettük, újra megvizsgáltattuk, majd miután kiderült, hogy kétoldali medencetörése van (nem tudott mozogni),  megműttettük. Jobb oldalon lemezelésre  és combcsont-lefejezésre,  bal oldalon csavarozásra volt szükség. 1 hónap elteltével ivartalanításra került a sor, majd újabb 1 hónap múlva, január 14-én emlődaganatot kellett eltávolítani nála.

Az örökösöket természetesen értesítettük bekerüléskor, de nem hatotta meg őket PICURKA súlyos balesete sem. Szavaikat, miszerint  „nem várjuk vissza”, nem könnyű elfelejteni…

Mindezek után PICURKA még mindig reménykedik. Szeretne egy igazi családot, ahol teljesjogú családtagként tekintenek rá. Még élhet pár évet…  Reméljük, megpróbáltatásai hamarosan végetérnek és kap egy új esélyt.

Más kutyákkal kiváló a kapcsolata. Jelenleg is több társával osztozik egy fűtött helyiségen a menhelyen. Leginkább kutyaágyában kucorogva szemléli a körülötte zajló eseményeket. Sétálni is nagyon szeret, alig lehet utolérni, úgy szalad, bár hamarabb elfárad mint hasonlókorú társai.
PICURKA sajnos szívférges, az örökbe fogadónak ez havonta kb. 4.000 Ft kiadást jelent. Csak olyan jelentkezzen gazdinak, aki ezt az áldozatot meg tudja hozni érte! 2020.12.03.

Instead of living peacefully and happily in his old age by the side of the beloved person PICURKA’s share was 3 serious operations one after the other in quick succession.

PICURKA once had an owner, but the old lady passed away and the beneficiaries took her to another town called Kondoros. She wasn’t happy there and allaegedly kept running away. We only found out about all this when animal lovers found her lying motionless on a busy road between 2 towns. We have never been able to find out how she might have got there because this section of road is totally closed to access. There is wildlife fencing on both sides of the road. The people who found her took her to the vet’s and even paid for her emergency care before they notified us. We took her in our care, had her examined by our vet and when it turned out that she had double pelvic fracture (she could not move) we had her operated. She needed a metal implant and cutting off the thigh bone on the right hand side and screws to be placed on the left hand side. One month passed and she was neutered, then one month later she was operated with a mammary tumour.

Naturally, we had notified the beneficiaries when she came into our care, but they weren’t really affected by her serious injuries and life-threatening condition. It is hard to forget their words „ we are not expecting her back”.

After all this PICURKA is still hoping. She would like to have a proper family where they regard her as a family member with full rights. She can still live for some years… and we hope that her ordeal is soon going to end and she gets another chance.

She’s totally compatibe with other dogs. Right now she shares a heated room with several other dogs at the shelter. She mostly enjoys watching the world go by around her as she’s curled up in her dog bed, but she loves going for a walk too. You almost have tor un after her she’s so fast, but she gets tired a bit sooner than her contemporaries.
Unfortunately, PICURKA is heartworm positive the treatment of which condition incurs a monthly cost of 4,000 Ft. She's waiting for her loving owner who's willing to provide this for her. 03.12.2020
