3 puppies with her mummy arrived at the shelter as a result of their owner having died and „naturally” the next of kin had no wish to take care of the dog family. Unfortunately, one of the pups was very weak and hasn’t survived with the facilities available here at the dog shelter. However, the family hasn’t lessened in size because a week later another pup from the same area, similarly aged and with very similar looks, came to us. We think he may be another sibling of the 3 original pups, only for some reason he hadn’t been found for the first time with the family.
The mummy was nicely nurturing her little ones who at that point were not very much in need of that kind of motherly care, so in the end we separated her from her pups.
The pups were very shy at the beginning. They hadn’t been loved and hadn’t got used to any human physical contact ie. stroking at all before they came in.
They still need a lot of love and attention to make them feel totally safe with human form. The 3 of them play and romp about a lot, so it would be beneficial if they had another dog already in the adopting family and they would not be left alone at home for the whole day, but would have a playmate.
KENZO and KIPPER are boys, KODY is a girl.
They can only be adopted on the understanding that the new owner will take responsibility to get them neutered.
During our impromptu cat test (that is conducted in a small room full of cats) KENZO did not show any interest in the felines. However, because both parties were experiencing a new situation it is not fully guaranteed that he will be completely cat-friendly in other situations as well.
