More than one of our colleagues had been trying to capture/trap an infinitely mistrustful dog. On 23rd November we managed to capture her already, but she pulled her head out of the loop at the end of the capturing rod. Then we spent time watching her, tried to trap her, capture her again, but could only cast a glance at her from far. She was hiding near to the railway line, but wouldn’t come close to us. In the end we succeeded in trapping her next to the road in the centre of a thicket – she must have been really hungry by that time.
She was really terrified in the first few days, therefore she tried to snap t us when we tried to touch her, but she calmed down soon after that. Her socialisation is ongoing.
she’s still afraid, but curious at the same time
observes life going on around her
not aggressive and she does not try to snap now
she approaches us on her own accord, wags her tail and she’s open, but she hasn’t fully overcome her fear yet
otherwise she’s a compact little, cuddly girl
With fellow dogs he’s friendly. During our impromptu cat test (that is conducted in a small room full of cats) he did not show any interest in the felines. However, because both parties were experiencing a new situation it is not fully guaranteed that he will be completely cat-friendly in other situations as well.
we recommend her to a patient person
She's been adopted. 24.03.2023 (J)
