A member of the public pretended that two large size, black dogs had turned up at his property out of the blue. We've encountered our fair share of pretenders who claim dogs have just arrived unexpectedly at their property when in truth we believe they are the actual owners of them. It's a well-known trick for them to get rid of their unwanted dogs they had never cared for, never vaccinated, never chipped, not to mention feeding and veterinary care. Nothing is easier than to say they have just appeared unexpectedly at their place.
BÖSKE, a bitch, had a tumour, probably one more reason to get rid of her. She's had surgery now, she has also been spayed and she's nicely recovering.
We don't know whether they are related to each other , but it's possible BELFEGOR is the son of BÖSKE.
They are both large size dogs, bark a lot (especially BELFEGOR), so they'd make great guard dogs as a team. BELFEGOR would have been adopted already, but we chose not to allow them to be given away individually as we believe they would do best being kept together.
BÖSKE is around 6 years old, BELFEGOR is perhaps 3.
Sadly, after several surgeries BÖSKE has lost her battle against the tumour. She passed away on 2nd May 2017.
BELFEGOR was adopted on 15th May 2017
BELFEGOR was brought back to the shelter because unfortunately he was involved in the death of some fowls in his new home.
BELFEGOR's repeat heartworm test result on 6th February 2020 came back negative.
BELFEGOR has relocated to Germany. 24.04.2020
