There is nothing more heart-wrenching than listening to an elderly dog's crying for weeks and weeks. Because BAGÓ is crying. He had a loving owner, but he's died. And now he's suddenly finding himself behind bars locked up.
He's not angry with the world, but his eyes are tearful despite the fact that he had been tethered before. With hopeful eyes he's watching out for every single person entering the shelter and when the one he's waiting for doesn't come he can't help but breaks down and cries bitterly and incessantly as a result of his painful loss. We are trying - within our means at the shelter - to spend much time with him. If possible we take him out for a walk more than once a day because he calms down out in the fields. He craves love and attention. He needs stroking.
BAGÓ is 11 years old, large size, black and male. The worst possible combination.
Will there be someone who might fall in love with this gentle, good-hearted elderly giant? Someone whose heart will be touched by the sight of his greying face? Someone who'll be deeply affected by the waiting reflected in his eyes? Someone that can give him some more years filled with love and care?
